First responders reported to a building collapse in Carroll County on Wednesday, May 19.

According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s office, at 9:40 a.m., deputies, Carrollton Fire Department personnel and Carroll County EMS were dispatched to the Farmer’s Store on Kansas Avenue in Bosworth for a building collapse and a strong smell of gas.

Once on the scene, it was discovered the southeast corner of the building had fallen in, which caused considerable damage. However, nobody was in the store at the time.

Sue Dulaney and her husband, Allan, purchased the Farmer’s Store in 1954, and Sue had continued to keep it in operation to this day.

The sheriff’s department says, “It is unknown what future plans Mrs. Dulaney has for the store.”
