Despite the area receiving more rainfall, the list of area roadways closed due to flooding has actually decreased from Wednesday, May 19.

According to MODOT, there are closures still in Saline, Chariton, Howard, Lafayette and Johnson Counties.

In Saline County, the outer road- or Old 40- just west of Sweet Springs is closed.

At the east fork of the Chariton River, Route NN is closed in Chariton County.

In Howard County, Route Z northwest of Boonville and off of Highway 87 is closed.

Route FF at two locations west of Highway 131 is closed in Lafayette County.

In Johnson County, Highway 23 between Concordia and Knob Noster and Route E near Valley City are closed.

All of the other roadways that were closed are now open to traffic.
