During the Slater City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 18, the council members considered approval of an event to be held about a year from now.

City Administrator Gene Griffith explains.

In an updated release from the Slater Wine Festival Committee- Debbie Reed, Shyanne Sellers and Jessica Weiher- says the event is scheduled to be held on May 21, 2022. The committee got the idea from the Slater Wine Fairies Facebook page the ladies run. They say, “wine drops from the community were shared all around town and it continued into the summer. The committee formed a plan and proposal that was supported by all the members at the meeting. They will be reaching out to wine vendors, planning a venue, shopping and food vendors; as well as live music for the event.”
