Edna A. Gochenour, age 84, of Slater, died Saturday, May 22, 2021, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, at First Baptist Church in Slater, with Jeff Page officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at a later date in Slater City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tony Coleman, Josh Gochenour, Ben Gochenour, Craig Gochenour, Jeremy Gochenour and Tyler Key. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Hays and Jack Sandwith.

Memorials are suggested to the Slater Schools Community Recreation Center, in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Born March 5. 1937 in Smithton, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Hazel Adams Rehmer.  On February 20, 1954 in Sedalia, she married Jim Gochenour, and he survives of the home.

Also surviving are three sons, Rick Gochenour and his wife Linda of Marshall, Kelly Gochenour and his wife Vickie of Marshall, and Joey Gochenour and his wife Angela of Slater; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Rehmer.

Mrs. Gochenour worked as the Secretary at Slater High School for thirty-two years until her retirement. She was a member of the 401 Couples Club, and was of the Baptist faith. She had moved to Slater in 1964 from Pettis County.
