A 32-year-old Kansas City resident is facing a couple of felony charges following a traffic crash in Pettis County on December 3.

Kyle Gabauer was arrested after he was found to be the driver of a stolen vehicle involved in a crash in Sedalia. The two occupants of the vehicle had left the scene.

Court documents say Gabauer is charged with a Class D Felony for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle; a Class E Felony for Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage Exceeding $1,000; and a driving-related misdemeanor. Gabauer posted $10,000 surety bond on December 17.

Gabauer posted $25,000 surety bond on April 30.

His next court appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 25  at Pettis County Circuit Court.
