A 75-year-old Carroll County man died after a two-vehicle traffic crash in Livingston County on Sunday, May 23.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a northbound pickup truck, driven by 33-year-old Steven Wilson, of Chillicothe, struck the rear end of a John Deere Gator, driven by Charles Plummer, of Hale, as Plummer was stopped on Route JJ while 63-year-old Susan Bachman, of Chillicothe, was in front of the Gator blowing grass off the highway. The crash caused the Gator to strike Bachman.

Plummer was pronounced deceased. Due to HIPAA, the highway patrol says no other information will be released. Bachman was transported by Chillicothe EMS to Hedrick Medical Center and then flown by helicopter to St. Luke’s on the Plaza for treatment of serious injuries. Wilson was not injured.

The crash happened at 10:05 p.m. 1.5 miles north of Avalon.
