Marshall Public Schools’ Assistant Superintendent Dr. Terry Lorenz presented an update on projects during the meeting of the school board on Tuesday, May 25.

Unofficial minutes from the meeting say Dr. Lorenz reported the fiber project at the high school is nearing completion.

Dr. Lorenz also said despite all of the rain, the sod replacement on Cecil Naylor Field at the high school with MidAmerica Sports is progressing.

He said work is being done on the internet access and wiring of the new PN building; and next month bids for walk-in freezers/coolers will be presented to the board.

In other news from the meeting, the board approved the Program Evaluation Assessment Program, GATE Program and Early Childhood Program reviews, as well as a memorandum of agreement with the Missouri Valley Community Action Agency (MVCAA) for the NEST bus. The memo of agreement states they will provide $15,000 of financial support to the NEST bus.
