Memorial Day events are scheduled to be held in multiple Chariton County towns on Monday, May 31.

According to the Brunswick Area Chamber of Commerce, ceremonies will be held at 10 a.m. at Elliott Grove Cemetery in Brunswick; at McCullough Cemetery in Triplett at 10:30 a.m.; and at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in De Witt.

There also will be a fish fry at noon at the Brunswick American Legion Hall, where a free-will donation will be accepted.
