Franklin B. Olney, 86, of Marshall, MO, and formerly of State College, PA, died Monday, May 31, 2021, at his home.

Born December 27, 1934, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph E. Olney and Mary Wagner Olney. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Frank graduated from Penn State University in 1956 and Temple University School of Medicine in 1960. He completed a three year diagnostic radiology residency at the Medical College of Virginia in 1970 and was board certified in 1972. On May 3, 1958, he married Karole Dietterick who survives of the home. He loved to fish and square dance.

Additional survivors include one daughter, Susan O. Armstrong of Malta Bend, MO; one son, Michael D. Olney of the home; three grandsons, Ryan Armstrong, Tyler Armstrong and Jared Armstrong; one brother, Joseph E. Olney of Newport News, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Olney.
