C.L. Plummer, age 75, of rural Hale and formerly of Marshall, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 3, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Born May 23, 1946 in Marshall, he was the son of the late Harold Huston Plummer and Eulah Mae Martin Plummer. C.L. lived in Marshall most of his life and was a 1964 graduate of Marshall High School. He met Sue Bachman in 1977 and they were a couple all these years and were married on July 25, 1993. C.L. was an independent contract carrier for the Kansas City Star for nearly 30 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marshall. C.L. was an avid outdoorsman and was a founding member of the Marshall Bow Hunters Club.

In addition to his wife, Sue; he is survived by two daughters, Shelli Howe (Shawne) of rural Warsaw and Shauna Lash (Kirby) of Marshall; two grandchildren, Garrett Howe (Tiffany) and Damien Brown (Bradley); four great-grandchildren: Logan Howe, Savannah Howe, Ziiryn Brown and Brynlee Brown; one sister, Marsha Wood (Jim) of Marshall; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

C.L. was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John Plummer and Huston Plummer.
