Flora Maxine Baker, age 95, of Marshall, MO, died Monday, May 31, 2021, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 7, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with burial following at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Born September 29, 1925, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Harry T. Cross and Lillie Jane Hoyes Cross.  She lived in Marshall her entire life and was a homemaker.  Maxine loved being outdoors, planting and taking care of her flowers, as well as mowing her yard.  She also enjoyed playing cards with her sisters and other family members.

Survivors include her son, Larry Baker (Barb) of Oak Grove; four grandchildren: Blane Baker (Cathy) of Liberty, Laura Shepherd (Jeff) of Lee’s Summit, Lawrence Baker (Tracy) of Grain Valley and Matthew Baker (Tonya) of Lake Lotawana; six great-grandchildren: Hanna Hinzman (Charles), Hayden Baker, Tyler Baker, Halle Shepherd, Braxton Baker and Harper Baker; a great-great-grandson, Theodore; a nephew, Russell Gann of Marshall; as well as many more nieces and nephews.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Georgia Monig, Katherine Hopkins and Virginia Gann; and four brothers: Harry, Frank, Edward and Kenneth Cross.
