At approximately 10:11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, Cooper County Deputies were called to assist the Pilot Grove Police Department with an armed robbery at Alliant Bank in Pilot Grove.
According to the Cooper County Sheriff’s Department, upon officer arrival, it was determined that a subject entered the bank and displayed a firearm. The suspect was described as wearing a dark-colored button-up style shirt, black pants, black boots, baseball-style hat, sunglasses, and a mask. The suspect was last seen leaving the bank on foot. No physical description of the suspect has been made available at this time.
The sheriff’s office is assisting Pilot Grove police with the investigation. At least two sheriff’s office patrol cars and one police car responded to the scene.
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect is still at large.
