A Platte City man was injured in a traffic crash in Johnson County early Saturday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred as the eastbound Chevrolet Silverado driven by 21-year-old Gavin Hardman traveled off the roadway.

Hardman was reportedly not wearing his seat-belt. He was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

The crash happened at approximately 3:20 a.m. Saturday on Highway 50 at Northwest 1071st Road in Johnson County.
