The Develop Saline County advisory board met on Wednesday, June 9. During the meeting, Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. gave an update on the progress of the work being done at the Marshall Junction.

Guthrey pointed out that $115,498.34 out of the Saline County bond money has been paid to Flotron & McIntosh LLC, which is the lobbying and consulting firm hired by the Commission.

Fund 57 is the half-cent Economic Development Sales Tax county voters approved in April 2018 and went into effect on October 1, 2018. When asked about future payments to Flotron & McIntosh, Guthrey had this to say.

The board approved a motion to repay the funds paid to Flotron & McIntosh out of the bond money with funds from the half-cent Economic Development Sales Tax. The board also approved a motion that any lobbying expenses be paid for by the county unless otherwise approved by the Develop Saline County advisory board.
