
Edmond T. “Ted” Coffman, age 72, of Marshall, died Friday, June 11, 2021, at Boone Hospital.
Graveside services, with military rites, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 18, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 17, at Campbell Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at the American Legion Hall at 852 American Legion Drive in Sunrise Beach.

Born July 2, 1948, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Edmond T. “Ted” Coffman and Elizabeth L. “Sis” Cordy Coffman. Ted lived in Marshall most of his life and was a 1966 graduate of Marshall High School. He then joined the United States Navy after high school and served at McMurdo Station in Antarctica and was honorably discharged in 1970. On October 6, 2012, in Sunrise Beach, he married Barbie Dace, who survives of the home. He worked with his father and brother at Ted’s Auto Exchange, was a partner at Coffman Motor and then later opened Ted’s Auto, Inc. Ted had lived at Sunrise Beach the last 20 years and was a member of American Legion Post 624 in Sunrise Beach.
In addition to his wife, survivors include four children: Dennis & Julie Coffman, Jason & Tracey Coffman, Danielle Dace and Misty & Ryan Teel; five grandchildren: Justin Coffman, Eric Coffman, Aiden Coffman, Allie Coffman and Rexton Teel; one sister, Judith E. Kreis (Ron); several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth A. “Betty” Coffman, and one brother, William A. “Bill” Coffman of Marshall.
