Despite being fully vaccinated, experts say persons can still be infected with COVID-19.

Saline County Health Department Administrator Tara Brewer explains how COVID-19 vaccines can help against severe illness in what are called “breakthrough cases.”

Brewer says a small percentage of people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 still can develop COVID-19 illness. So, how can fully-vaccinated persons get COVID-19?

Brewer says the health department is holding open clinics every Thursday for anyone who is interested in getting vaccinated. You can either walk in or schedule an appointment.
