A 29-year-old Lexington man facing a drug-related felony charge after he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance on March 29 in Lafayette County has been sentenced to state prison.

According to a Lexington Police report, Travis Good was told by an officer that he was a suspect in a domestic disturbance. When the officer attempted to take Good into custody, he resisted and assaulted the officer. While searching Good, the officer says he found a set of scales, a marijuana grinder and a large baggie containing a crystal substance.

Good was charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance; and drug-related and resisting-arrest misdemeanors. He pleaded not guilty on March 30, but changed his plea to guilty on June 7.

Good was sentenced to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on the possession charge, including 120 days shock treatment; and 90 days on each of the other charges in Lafayette County Jail, with the latter two sentences to run concurrently.
