A Fayette man who is facing a felony charge following and incident on August 5, 2020, is due in court this week.
According to a Fayette Police report, Christopher Turner Jr. was arrested after a man reported he was struck by a vehicle and two occupants of the car got out of the vehicle and began to assault him.
Turner waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty on August 11 to a Class B Felony for Assault in the First Degree or Attempt. Bond was reduced from $50,000 cash only to $4,950 with 10-percent allowed on August 25. Turner posted percentage bond on August 27. However, after a violation of a bond condition, the court reinstated the $50,000 cash-only bond on November 10.
Turner’s preliminary hearing is scheduled to be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 17, at Howard County Circuit Court.
