A 32-year-old Marshall man charged with multiple felonies following an incident on March 29 is not due in court again until July 19.

According to the Marshall Police Department, Justin Ethan Scharnhorst was taken into custody in April on several active warrants in reference to Domestic Assault investigations.

According to court documents, Scharnhorst is charged with a Class D Felony for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm; Class E Felonies for Domestic Assault in the Third Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon- Exhibiting; as well as a misdemeanor for kidnapping. The court has ordered no bond. His motion for bond reduction was denied.

With his case bound over to the trial division, Scharnhorst waived his preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty. His plea/trial-setting hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Monday, July 19 at Saline County Circuit Court.
