
The Slater City Council approved a change in the hours residents are able to shoot off fireworks this year during its meeting on Tuesday, June 15.
City Administrator Gene Griffith explains.
Griffith said those who are caught shooting fireworks after 10 p.m. prior to and after 11 p.m. on Independence Day may be issued a ticket.
In other news from the council meeting, the council approved the price of family pool passes to be increased from $80 to $100 and individual pool passes from $45 to $65.
