
Judy Kay Brockman, 75, of Marshall, MO, died Thursday, June 17, 2021 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2021 at Southside Assembly of God in Marshall with Rev. Cliff Cato and William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday at the church. Born July 28, 1945 in Slater, she was the daughter of the late Walter Washington Turner and Nellie Duncan Turner. Judy lived in Saline County her entire life and was a 1963 graduate of Marshall High School. On June 21, 1975 she married Charles E. Brockman who preceded her in death on December 24, 2014. Judy worked as a house parent for 32 years at Butterfield Youth Services and was a foster grandparent at Hardeman R-10 School. She was a member of Southside Assembly of God.
Survivors include seven children: Shelly Hutchison of Concordia, Sherry Hemme (Mark) of Sedalia, Charlene Swires of Marshall, Ina Richardson of Marshall, Sandy Gordon of Oxford, MS, Kayla Gibson (Jeremy) of Marshall and Gary Riefle of Waverly; nine grandchildren: Willie Hutchison (Trista), Stephanie Bahner (Dale), Mary Fiedler (Terry), Connie Swires, Jennifer Johnston (Ricky), Vernon Swires, Brittany King, Kourtney Brockman and Kinzey Hockaday; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, David Smith of Slater; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded by her twin brother, Bill Turner; her sister, JoAnn Perkins; and a son-in-law, Kendric Gordon.
