Jackie L. Haynie, age 85, of Glasgow and formerly of Gilliam, died Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Glasgow Gardens in Glasgow.

Private family graveside services will be held at Miami Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Slater Public Library, in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Born November 25, 1935 in Wakenda, he was the son of the late Leslie Leo Haynie and Mildred Fry Haynie.  On January 1, 1971 in Slater, he married Jo Ann Tennill, and she preceded him in death on April 9, 2006.

He is survived by four sons, Jackie W. Haynie of Miami, Chuck Haynie of Marshall, Jerry George of Gilliam, and Jeff George of Gilliam; a daughter, Cheryl Garrison of Slater; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Haynie of Slater, and Marvin Haynie of Blue Springs; and a sister, Marilyn Grondahl of Caldwell, Idaho.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Haynie and Charles Haynie.

Mr. Haynie was a retired farmer and welder.
