As a result of the heavy rainfall, MODOT is reporting several area roadways are closed due to flooding at this hour.

The closures are in Carroll and Chariton Counties right now, but the list could grow as the day progresses.

In Carroll County, Route UU is closed at Big Creek southwest of Bosworth and Northeast of Carrollton; Route WW at Big Creek near Tina; and Route D just north of Norborne are closed.

In Chariton County, Route J just south of Dalton; Route E at Yellow Creek; Route O at Tree Branch Creek are closed.
