The Marshall School Board has a new member.

Brad Shepard was sworn in by board secretary Linda Perkins at the beginning of the meeting on Thursday, June 24.

Shepard takes the seat vacated by Christy Varner, who had to resign due to moving out of the district.

Shepard was selected by other school board members by a 6-0 vote during a special board meeting on Tuesday, June 22. There were six total candidates who filed a letter of interest for the position by June 15.

Shepard’s seat- along with those currently held by treasurer Eddie Harper and Harry Carrell- will be up in April 2022.
