
As a result of the heavy rainfall, MODOT is reporting several area roadways are closed due to flooding at this hour.
The closures are in Saline, Carroll, Chariton, Cooper and Lafayette Counties right now, but the list could grow as the day progresses.
In Saline County, Highway 127 is closed north of Sweet Springs at Salt Pond Creek.
In Carroll County, Highway 10 between Carrollton and Norborne; Route UU is closed at Big Creek southwest of Bosworth and Northeast of Carrollton; Route WW at Big Creek near Tina; and Route D just north of Norborne are closed.
In Chariton County, Route J just south of Dalton; Route E at Yellow Creek; Route O at Tree Branch Creek; and Route NN south of Salisbury are closed.
In Cooper County, Highway 87 just south of I-70; Highway 5 at Petite Saline Creek just south of I-70; and Route B south of Lone Elm are closed.
In Lafayette County, Highway 13 just south of Higginsville is closed.
