
It just hasn’t stopped raining for a lengthy period of time, and due to all of the accumulation, many area roadways are closed due to flooding.
MODOT is reporting the closures are in Saline, Carroll, Chariton, Cooper, Howard, Lafayette and Johnson Counties.
In Saline County, Highway 127 north of Sweet Springs at Salt Pond Creek; Highway 41 between Marshall and Miami near the intersection of Highway 122/Route NN at Fairville; Route VV north of I-70 near Emma; Route UU just east of Highway 65; Route O just west of Slater; Routes N, H and DD in the Napton/Nelson area; Route P north of Arrow Rock; Routes DD and K near Blackwater; and Route EE just north of Highway 20 are closed.
In Carroll County, Highway 10 between Carrollton and Norborne; Route UU is closed at Big Creek southwest of Bosworth and Northeast of Carrollton; Route WW at Big Creek near Tina; and Routes D, E and PP just north of Norborne are closed.
In Chariton County, Route J just south of Dalton; Route E at Yellow Creek; Route O at Tree Branch Creek; and Route NN south of Salisbury are closed.
In Cooper County, Highway 87 just south of I-70; Highway 5 at Petite Saline Creek just south of I-70; and Route B south of Lone Elm are closed.
In Howard County, Highway 5 just north of Glasgow and south of New Franklin; Highway 124 is closed from Fayette to near Harrisburg in Boone County; Highway 40 southeast of New Franklin; Route N northeast of Fayette; and Routes A and W near Hilldale are closed.
In Lafayette County, Highway 13 just south of Higginsville; and Highway 23 between Alma and Waverly are closed.
In Johnson County, Highway 23 between Concordia and Knob Noster is closed.
