A 57-year-old Lexington man charged with a felony after allegedly stealing a vehicle on February 5 has changed his plea.
According to a Lexington Police report, a vehicle was reported stolen from Bharti Liquor Store in Lexington. The suspect was identified from a photograph as Gerald David Thompson.
The vehicle later was located in the Lee’s Summit area.
On June 23, Thompson withdrew his not guilty plea, that he entered on February 17, and pleaded guilty to a felony for tampering with a motor vehicle in the first degree. The Court suspended imposition of sentence and placed Thompson on five years supervised probation.
