At the meeting of the Marshall School Board on Thursday, June 24, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Terry Lorenz gave an update.

Dr. Lorenz reported the fiber runs and boxes are in at the high school, and fiber will be installed in the next few weeks. Fiber runs are also being installed at Spainhower Primary School.

Dr. Lorenz also said the sod was ordered last week and should be arriving in seven to 10 days to fix Cecil Naylor Field, which was damaged last summer due to a person driving a truck on it and tearing it up. Dr. Lorenz says the hope is for the field to be ready in time for the Owls’ homecoming football game on Friday, September 17 versus Mexico.

Dr. Lorenz also reported the new dishwasher has been installed at the high school; and equipment has been ordered for the boilers and elevator at Bueker Middle School and the HVAC at Eastwood Elementary School.
