An area health department will be closed for the upcoming Independence Day holiday.

According to the Lafayette County Health Department, it will close at noon on Friday and be closed all day on Monday, July 5.

Regular business hours will resume from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 6.
