It’s still raining in the KMMO listening area, but some area roadways that were closed due to flooding have reopened to traffic. However, the number of area roadways still closed is still significant.

MODOT is reporting the closures are in Saline, Carroll, Chariton, Cooper, Howard, Johnson and Lafayette Counties.

MODOT reports Highway 65 between Waverly and Carrollton; Highway 41 between Marshall and Miami; and Highway 5 at Glasgow are now open.

In Saline County, Route O just west of Slater; Routes E and H in the Napton/Nelson area; Route P north of Arrow Rock from Orearville through Saline City up to Highway 240; and Route EE just north of Highway 20 are closed.

In Carroll County, Highway 10 between Carrollton and Norborne; Route E just north of Norborne; Route UU northeast of Carrollton; and Route B southeast of Carrollton at Wakenda are closed.

In Chariton County, Route J just south of Dalton; Route D and Mussel Fork Creek; and Route E at Yellow Creek are closed.

In Cooper County, Panther Road between Routes B and U is closed.

In Howard County, Highway 40 southeast of New Franklin; and Route Z off of Highway 187 west of New Franklin are closed.

In Johnson County, Highway 23 between Concordia and Knob Noster and Route E near Valley City are closed.

In Lafayette County, Route FF north of Bates City at Sni-A-Bar Creek is closed.
