Area authorities are seeking charges against a 25-year-old man.

The Sedalia Police Department says on June 14, it began investigating a burglary and theft that occurred in the 1000 block of East 6th Street. Multiple items were reported stolen by the victim.

On July 1, The Sedalia P.D.’s Criminal Investigations Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit and patrol officers conducted a search warrant at 1009 East 6th Street. During the search, they say a large quantity of stolen property from the burglary was recovered.

The suspect hasn’t been located at this time, but charges are being requested against the subject, including second-degree burglary; felony stealing; and second-degree property damage.

Per KMMO policy, the name of the suspect will not be released until formal charges are filed.
