Charles Warren Marsh, age 86, of Marshall, MO, died Monday, July 5, 2021, at The Living Center in Marshall.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 9, at First Christian Church in Marshall, with Rev. Randy Shannon officiating. Inurnment will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Charles was born on the Marsh farm, south of Marshall, November 15, 1934 and was the only child of John Lester Marsh and Minnie Alice Smith Marsh. He attended school in rural Saline County where his mother was teaching and then graduated in 1953 from Marshall High School, serving as class president and as the FFA president. Charles attended Missouri Valley College for a short time before farming full time. He also worked at Con-Agra for a short time before his retirement.

On November 12, 1955 he married Ruth Marlene Keehart and she survives of the home. Charles was a member of First Christian Church where he served as elder, deacon and numerous committees, Saline County Coin Club, Marshall FFA Alumni, Ducks Unlimited, Quails Unlimited, National Rifle Association Life Member, Currier and Ives Dinnerware Collections Club, Marshall Optimist Club and had served as an M.F.A. Oil delegate. He also enjoyed serving Meals on Wheels when he was able.

In addition to his wife of 65 years, Ruth; he is survived by two sons, Christopher Marsh (Denise) of St. Charles, MO and Brent Marsh (Leslie) of Wheaton, IL; four grandsons; one great granddaughter; two great grandsons; nephew, Wayne Keehart (Judi) of Miami, MO; niece, Betty Ann Wyse (Ron) of McCormick, SC; as well as great nieces and great nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Rachel Marsh.
