A 43-year-old Odessa man has been charged after an alleged incident on Highway 131 on June 29.

According to a probable-cause statement, authorities say the driver of a UTV was traveling at 73 mph and failed to stop and yield. The driver, Anthony Glen Schuldt pulled onto Cox School road and 9th Street and the deputy identified a 14-year-old male passenger.

Court documents say Schuldt has been charged with felonies for a DWI, Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the First Degree, Resisting/Interfering with Arrest and Harassment in the Second Degree.

Arraignment took place on Wednesday, July 7. The court sustained a motion and amended bond to $100,000 cash or surety with 10 percent allowed.

Schuldt’s next hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
