
A jury trial has been scheduled for a 31-year-old Boonville resident who is charged with multiple sex-related felonies for allegedly inappropriately touching a female juvenile and other deviant abusive acts earlier this year.
According to a Boonville Police report, an 8-year-old girl alleged to authorities that Jeremy Robert Sutton inappropriately touched her and choked her; as well as several other deviant actions.
Sutton is charged with four counts of a Class B sex-related Felony; a Class B Felony for Abuse or Neglect of a Child- No Sexual Contact; a Class D Felony for Domestic Assault in the Second Degree; and two counts of an Unclassified sex-related Felony. Bond remains at $250,000 cash or surety. Sutton’s request for bond reduction was denied by the court on May 19.
Sutton waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty on June 22. His case has been bound over to circuit court. A motion hearing is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Monday, July 12, at Cooper County Circuit Court. A pre-trial conference is set for November 22; and his jury trial on December 1 at Cooper County Circuit Court.
