
A Boonville man charged with attempted murder is due in court on Monday, July 12.
According to a Boonville Police report, on January 3, officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Main Street for the report of shots fired. Upon arrival, a woman told authorities Kalynn Dean Hendren pointed a rifle at her. During wrestling over the rifle, Hendren is alleged to have fired one round. Officers located the spent shell casing, and the bullet fragment was found in the wall of the living room.
According to court documents, Hendren is charged with Class B Felonies for Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and Domestic Assault in the First Degree; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. Bond remains at $500,000 cash or surety.
Hendren entered a plea of not guilty during an arraignment hearing on January 6. His next hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. at Cooper County Circuit Court.
