
One of two persons arrested after the search of a motel room in Pettis County on Thursday, July 8, has been formally charged with felonies.
A release from the Sedalia Police Department says officers stopped a vehicle and say they located methamphetamine, cutting tools and a catalytic converter inside.
Information also was obtained that room 122 at American Inn at 1217 South Limit Avenue contained more stolen catalytic converters. A search warrant was obtained for the room, and four more stolen catalytic converters were located along with various tools used to steal catalytic converters. Two of the converters were confirmed to be have been stolen from a Sedalia business which had just reported the theft earlier in the day.
Arrested were 29-year-old Wayne Coslet, of Sedalia, and 23-year-old woman who were in the room.
According to court documents, Coslet is charged with a Class D Felony for Stealing of $750 or More; and a Class E Felony for Property Damage in the First Degree. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Coslet’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
The woman has not been formally charged at this time.
