The Pettis County Health Center reports that as of July 12, there has been a total of 5,367 positive COVID-19 cases in the county as compared to 5,286 on July 5- an increase of 81 cases during the past week.

At the meeting of the Pettis County COVID-19 Task Force on Monday, July 12, health officials said the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services’ (DHSS) website is reporting Pettis County has a positivity rate of 16.8 percent for the past seven days.

There were 280 PCR tests and 283 antigen tests in the past seven days. The local data indicates for the week of July 1-7 there were 86 positive tests and 501 negative tests for a positivity rate of 14.65 percent and a rate of 203.12 per 100,000.

There are nine individuals hospitalized at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, including three on a ventilator.

The DHSS website revised the reported deaths in Pettis County to 77.

To assist with continued testing, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services is offering free in home testing. An individual may request test kits on the website. Two test kits, good for six months, will be mailed to the requester with a postage-paid envelop to return the sample.
