A 37-year-old Glasgow woman facing felony charges following a hit-and-run incident in Boone County in 2020 changed her plea regarding two of the charges in court this week, and she has been sentenced to spend nearly two decades in state prison.

On June 16, 2020, Centralia Police responded to a call in reference to a woman who was out walking her dog when she was struck by a driver who had left the scene. Authorities determined Amy Rievley was the driver of the vehicle that had struck 74-year-old Sharon Uebinger, who later died from her injuries. The dog was not injured. Rievley was arrested in Henry County.

Court documents say Rievley was charged with a Class A Felony for Murder in the Second Degree; Class C Felonies for DWI Resulting in the Death of Another and Involuntary Manslaughter in the First Degree; and a Class D Felony for Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Death.

Rievley, who originally pleaded not guilty on August 25, 2020, pleaded guilty to the Involuntary Manslaughter charge and Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Death on Monday, July 12. The other charge was dismissed by the court.

The judge sentenced Rievley to 15 years on the Involuntary Manslaughter charge and three years on the Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Death charge- with the sentences to run consecutively- in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
