A Marshall man who was arrested and charged after a pursuit in Marshall on June 19 is due in court this week.

According to the Marshall Police Department, dispatch received a call in reference to a male subject tearing stickers off a U-Haul and were told the U-Haul could be stolen.

Marshall Police officers reported to the scene, and a computer check revealed the vehicle the man was driving was stolen from Overland Park, Kansas. Authorities followed the truck, and later on, Kyle James Bryant was taken into custody at the Marshall Municipal Airport.

Court documents say Bryant is charged with felonies for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree, Resisting Arrest, Detention or Stop by Fleeing and Driving While Revoked or Suspended.

Bryant was arraigned on June 21. A motion for bond reduction was filed on June 24. A confined-docket hearing is scheduled to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, at Saline County Circuit Court.
