The Missouri Department of Transportation began roadwork on Spur 13 (John Shea Drive) this week. The road will continue to be closed between Delaware and McDonald’s through September.

According to a news release, MoDOT determined that the slide condition on Spur 13 had progressed to the point that travel along the road is a concern for traffic. This portion of the road will remain closed until the slide can be repaired.

Locals are advised to take 16 Street for access to the Lafayette Regional Health and the Battle of Lexington Museum.
