Saline County Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden said items are still being asked for to put in the state’s Bicentennial Time Capsule.

Gooden said items will be accepted through August 10- the 200th birthday for the state of Missouri.

In an action taken during the commission meeting, commissioners approved the hiring of Lenny Carver for a part-time position the Jail Division of the sheriff’s department. His start date will be August 1, 2021.
