A sentencing hearing for a 29-year-old Boonville man who pleaded guilty to multiple felony charges for shooting at another vehicle on I-70 in Montgomery County more than a year ago is set for next month.
A probable-cause statement says on April 7, 2020, Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers responded to the report of shots fired from inside a moving vehicle that struck and disabled a van, which had three persons inside. Nobody was injured inside the van. A truck driver also gave an eyewitness account of the incident.
According to court documents, on March 18, Chad Michael Kennedy pleaded guilty to six counts of a Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon; three counts of a Felony for Assault or Attempt in the First Degree; and a Felony for Armed Criminal Action.
