An area teacher has earned an award.

According to the Boonville R-1 School District, BHS vocal music teacher Warner Bailey has received the Missouri Choral Directors Association Outstanding Director- West Central District- award.

District officials say, “Mr. Bailey’s dedication to choral excellence, even through almost an entire year of singers’ masks, already makes our Pirate community so proud. We are so happy that he is also recognized by his peers.”

Bailey’s next big adventure is a choral trip to New York in Spring 2022.
