A man is dead following a vehicle crash on Saturday in Sedalia.

According to Sedalia Police Department, emergency responders responded to a motor-vehicle crash Northbound US 65 and West 16 Street at 8:35 p.m.

A Northbound Jeep struck a 2008 Hyundai that was stopped at a red-light. The collision caused the Hyundai to excel forward into the intersection, where it struck a 2019 Dodge. The impact resulted in the Jeep traveling in reverse and over the southbound lane, striking the Missouri State Fair’s welcome sign.

The driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene. An official from Sedalia Police Department says the driver allegedly had a medical episode prior to the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
