One Saline County teen finished in the top 10 in the goat-tying event at the National High School Finals Rodeo.

According to the event’s website, Karsyn Fuchs, of Marshall, advanced to the championship round with her prelim performances. She finished seventh overall with a three-round total of 25.49 seconds- 8.72 in Go-1; 7.72 in Go-2; and 9.05 on Go-F. The winner was Haiden Thompson, of Yoder, Wyoming, in 23.67 seconds.

Several other Saline County youths competed at the event which finished up Saturday night in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Jeb Nelsen, of Marshall, finished 32nd in steer wrestling average and 77th in calf tie-down roping average.

Paige Lilleman, of Malta Bend, was 141st in goat tying average. Erika Lilleman, of Malta Bend, was 87th and Alexis Neff, of Marshall, was 171st in barrel racing average.
