South Grand Avenue from West 15 Street and West 16th Street to West 18 Street will be closed from 6 p.m. Thursday, July 29 until 6 a.m. Friday, July 30. This will allow for new water-mains to be tied into Sedalia’s water distribution system. The east-west portion of the intersection at West 16 Street and South Grand Avenue will remain open throughout this process.

According to a public service announcement, water service to residences along South Grand Avenue, from West 14 Street to West 20 Street, will be off for a period of time during the tie-in process.

Officials say the exact time of the water outage is unknown, but the city plans to have water restored by 6 a.m. Friday.

All work is weather and equipment dependent and may be affected by inclement weather or equipment breakdowns.
