
Slater City Council approved a water plant valve replacement during its meeting on Tuesday, July 20.
City Administrator Gene Griffith explains the current valves were installed in 1994.
Griffith says the replacement will cost over $11,000.
In other news from the council meeting, the council gave an update on the the city’s sewer cleaning and lining, contracted in March. Griffith says the PVC lining is scheduled to begin Tuesday, July 27.
