An area health department is reminding parents or guardians the need to have immunizations for certain students up to date.
According to Pettis County Health Center officials, Missouri State Law requires all students entering eighth grade to have a current Tdap and Meningococcal vaccine on file in the nurse’s office before students are allowed to begin their eighth-grade year.
Immunization records need to be faxed to (660) 829-6409.
If students do not have their immunization record updated with the nurse before the first day of school, they will not be allowed to attend school until records are updated.
If parents plan to sign an exemption form, those are only accepted from the Pettis County Health Center. PCHC offers exemption cards by appointment only on Wednesday each week.
The health center is located at 911 East 16th Street in Sedalia. Its phone number is (660) 827-1130.
