A 39-year-old Independence man has been charged with a felony for allegedly pulling a gun and placing in the face of another man in Pettis County.

According to a Sedalia Police report, James Don Richmond was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail on Tuesday, July 27.

Court documents say Richmond is charged with a felony for unlawful use of a weapon- exhibiting. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

Richmond’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
