An area teacher has received impressive recognition.

According to administrators in the Boonville R-1 School District, Leslie Crider has been awarded the DECA New Teacher of the Year.

Boonville R-1 Administrators say, “Crider’s Marketing instruction at BTEC has caught the attention of her peers within the DECA organization. She has meaningful relationships with her students; she strives to give them new experiences and truly celebrates their success each step of the way. These are just a few of the reasons that she was given this honor.”

BTEC Director Carri Risner said, “We are so proud of Mrs. Crider’s continued progress as she grows in her capacity as an exceptional educator!”
